Paz Project
Every child deserves the chance to grow up safe, to learn, to play and to dream. Yet for millions of children around the world, conflict, poverty and displacement continue to deny these fundamental rights.
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child guarantees the civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights of every human being under the age of 18.
Taking inspiration from and reminding ourselves just how important the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is, Musiko Musika’s ECCO Project is bringing young voices together in a powerful call for peace. Putting children’s voices front and centre, the project will see the recording and release of “Paz”, an inspiring song by Mauricio Venegas-Astorga that imagines and demands a world where no child lives in fear of war, sleeps on the streets or is denied an education.
The recording will feature instrumentals, solos and choruses from the exceptionally multi-talented ECCO orchestra. Children’s voices will also join from across the world, including those of the Indigenous Mapuche nation in southern Chile through our partners and friends at Frontera Sur, highlighting that the hopes and rights of children transcend borders.

An exciting line-up of acclaimed musicians, partners and collaborators from the worlds of music, arts and beyond will be called upon to lend their voices, support and talent to the project, helping amplify this vital message to audiences around the globe.
Recording will take place in a London and Dorset studio between mid-September and October, with additional contributions from collaborators from further afield. Release will be mid-November in time for pre-Christmas publicity and fundraising.
Profits from the release, together with donations, will be shared between the ECCO project and a humanitarian charity working with children.
Music has the power to change lives - and the Paz project is a global call for peace…giving children a voice, inspiring hope, and reminding the world that every child deserves a safe future.
