We're delighted to be working with Piota (www.piota.co.uk) Together we are developing an app to enable Musiko Musika to bring the fun, magic and educational expertise of our songs and music directly into children’s homes.
Remote learning & engagement with families has never been more important than at the present time. With this app we hope to be able to connect directly with families and continue supporting the development of strong speech and language skills and important personal, social and emotional skills for their children.
The app is being sponsored by a grant from the Catalyst and The National Lottery Community Fund COVID-19 Digital Response fund.

MUSIKO MUSIKA'S CREATIVE RESPONSE TO COVID-19 FUNDRAISING APPEAL
We need your help: We’ve just launched a fundraising appeal so that we can bring the fun, magic and musical and educational expertise of Musiko Musika’s classes and publications directly into children’s homes by creating Songo’s World of Music, a regular series of lively and engaging online music classes for 2 to 5 year olds. With your donations we can make sure that young children can continue to learn, develop and thrive at a crucial time in their lives even whilst the nurseries, children’s centres and community activities are closed.
If you are in the fortunate position in which your livelihood and income are not at risk from the current situation, and with no possibility of spending money in bars, restaurants, music venues and theatres or on a holiday for a while, we are asking you instead to make a donation to this project, helping young children to learn and reducing social isolation for them and their families through music. And please spread the word to family and friends. We know that the amazing community that supports Musiko Musika will rise to the challenges the world faces - your kindness and generosity are the spirit that inspires our music, our work and all the children and young people we make music with. Thank you
Some of the ECCO members and ECCO parents got to sit in and watch the RCM Philharmonic rehearse with Martyn Brabbins conducting at the Royal College of Music we all had an amazing time there, and felt very welcomed by everyone! Thank you to Jobine Siekman and Florence Ambrose for facilitating this for us, it was incredible!
We are really delighted to announce that our publications, "Songo: For Children & Families, Early Years Settings & Practitioners” have been honoured as Award-Winning Finalist in the Children’s Educational category of the 2019 International Book Awards.
The highly prestigious International Book Awards recognise outstanding works from writers, publishers and illustrators from around the world in their annual competition. It is wonderful to have received this recognition of the outstanding quality of Musiko Musika's work, and that of our collaborators the illustrator Fiona Zechmeister and publishers Victorina Press.
