WORLD MUSIC ACADEMY

The
World Music Academy (WMA) represents a unique vision for promoting
and celebrating the rich diversity of musical cultures to be found
in the UK today. It provides music education for young people and adults, nurturing talent and developing excellence in musicianship and performance.
It does this through a unique programme of instrumental lessons, masterclasses, workshops, ensembles and performance opportunities, delivered by an exciting team of teaching staff, experts in music from the four corners of the world.
WMA Hackney :
The current programme in Hackney takes place on Wednesdays between 3.45 and 6.30pm.
Venue: Making Marks, St Mark's Community Halls. St Mark's Rise, Dalston E8 2LH (Bus 30, 38, 56, 67, 149, 242, 236/ rail Dalston Kingsland) For children and young people aged 8 to 16 years the programme includes instrumental lessons (guitar), instrumental groups (panpipes, drumming & percussion) WMA Ensemble and WMA Choir.
For adults the programme runs between 5.00 and 6.30 and offers guitar lessons, percussion, WMA Ensemble and WMA Choir.

The
autumn term programme is called "Latin Adventure" and begins on 24th September.
